How our MOQ compares
| Manufacturer type | Typical minimum per style/color |
|---|---|
| Large overseas factory | 300–1,000+ pcs |
| Mid-size custom clothing manufacturer | 100–300 pcs |
| "Low MOQ" manufacturers | 50–200 pcs |
| Wear Supply Co. | 10 pcs |
Why low minimums matter
- Less cash tied up. A first drop of five styles at 300 pieces each is 1,500 units of stock. At 10 pieces each, it's 50.
- Real market testing. Launch more colorways, see what sells, then reorder winners.
- Less dead stock. Unsold inventory is the most common reason new clothing brands run out of money.
- Faster iteration. Small batches mean you can change a fit or fabric between drops.
We explain how factories set minimums — and how to negotiate them — in clothing manufacturer MOQ explained.
